I’m going to be psychic for a moment. I KNOW what you got your kids for Christmas, Homeschool Mom. How do I know? Because it is the same things I bought my kids.
Don’t believe me? Read the list! I’m betting that you either got this stuff, asked someone else to get this stuff for your kids, or you got it last year. Seriously!
1. New School Uniforms
I mean Pajamas.
Preferably footed ones for the youngest.
2. Fuzzy socks
For those days spent inside.
Who cares if they won’t fit inside regular shoes?
3. Books. All the books!
Fiction, non-fiction, classics, trail guides, science experiments, art books, and comic books.
Did I miss any?
4. Board games.
Because lesson plans often run short, and these teach the kids so many great skills.
5. A map of unusual size.
Maps are just so pretty to decorate with!
6. Kits
There are ones for cooking, crafting, building or darn near anything.
Honestly, any and all kits are great. It’s like a lesson plan and unit study in a box and requires no planning on your part.
7. An “experience”
An art class, movie tickets, a trip
or a musical instrument to learn to play.
8. A cute new sweater for every child.
So they will match to create cute pictures!
And it makes it easier to find your set of kids when taking them all out in public if you dress them to match.
9. New hats and gloves.
So you can kick them out to play in the snow next month.
10. More books.
Because you can never have enough.
Look over my list and see. Is your family getting these 10 things this year? Be honest.
I hope you are having a lovely holiday season.
